I found interesting this didn't get any comments when posted. The Pentagon spokesman is conflating NFL players with uniformed servicemen. Is this an olive branch to the kneelers? I expected the article to read concern NFL players who left the playing field for the services, but no, this is directed at the rank and file NFL. The NFL is heavily over representative of minorities, is this representing the military's respect in an effort to heal the obvious divisions?

I'm conflicted how to think about this. PR genius, or something else?
