Nunes Reveals His Plan to Get Carter Page FISA Docs Released to the Public

 

Congressman Devin Nunes (R-CA) made it clear in his Sunday interview that just because the Democrats are taking back control of the House, he is not going stop working to get the truth out to the American people.

 

Outgoing House Intel Chairman Devin Nunes revealed to Maria Bartiromo on Fox News’ “Sunday Morning Futures,” how he plans to declassify the Carter Page FISA docs and other pertinent Russiagate records by going around “swamp creatures” who are trying to keep Americans in the dark.

 

“Our investigation is essentially over. We have everything that we need. What we’re lacking now is that we’re lacking the declassification by the president,” Devin Nunes said.

 

“For various reasons, the president or his staff doesn’t want to do it. Therefore, I think it’s important if the president doesn’t want his hands on it, we have to have somebody, some office, that’s going to look at all of these issues and all of these documents that need to be declassified. I’m going be working with my colleagues to work on and send some example over to the president of a transparency type of office, so that the Congress, the American people, others can put in requests of documents or issues that they want declassified. That way the president doesn’t have to take this full burden on and the Congress has somewhere where we can go to try to avoid the swamp creatures from getting involved and ensuring that the American public is kept in the dark.“

 

Nunes added, “We need to make sure that there’s light. I always say that sunlight is the best disinfectant in Washington. The more that we can get declassified, I think, the better. And I think an easy way to do it is to create an office that actually just works directly under the White House that specializes in evaluating this documentation and errs on the side of the more sunlight the better to make sure that everything we want declassified gets declassified.”

 

President Trump issued a declassification order of the Carter Page FISA docs and other Russiagate records in September then changed his mind after ‘foreign allies’ begged him to keep the documents under lock and key.

 

These documents must be declassified if Trump truly wants to drain the swamp and the American people deserve to know what the FBI and DOJ were doing in their efforts to thwart a duly elected president.

Belgium Police Fire Tear Gas, Water Cannon As Anti-Migration Protests Turn Violent

 

The streets of Brussels turned violent on Sunday after thousands of Flemish right-wing parties called for a march against a UN migration pact signed in Marrakech last week, according to the BBC.

 

Approximately 5,500 anti-immigration protesters came out in force against the pact- chanting various slogans such as "our people first" , "no jihad in our state" and "Brussels rats," while around 1,000 counter-protesters from left-wing groups showed up to oppose the march. Police fired tear gas and a water cannon as violence broke out between the groups, throwing fences and stones.

FBI Email: James Comey Briefing Was ‘Trigger’ for CNN to Break Dossier Story

 

NEW YORK — An FBI email states that the “trigger” for CNN to first break the story revealing salacious and unsubstantiated claims made inside the infamous anti-Trump dossier was the leaking of ex-FBI Director James Comey’s official briefing on the dossier claims to President Donald Trump.

 

CNN on January 10, 2017 was first to report leaked information that the contents of the dossier were presented during classified briefings one week earlier to Trump and then-President Barack Obama.

 

Prior to CNN’s report leaking the briefings, which was picked up by news agencies worldwide, the contents of the dossier had been circulating among news media outlets, but the sensational claims were largely considered too risky to publish.

 

Questions have been raised on the need to include the dossier charges in the classified briefings, which were reportedly conducted by Comey, CIA Director John Brennan, Director of National Intelligence James Clapper and NSA Director Admiral Mike Rogers. Comey reportedly stayed in the room alone with Trump afterwards to orally brief the incoming president on the most salacious allegations.

 

Trump was not told at the briefing, which took place at Trump Tower in New York, that the dossier had been paid for by Trump’s primary political opponents, namely Hillary Clinton’s 2016 presidential campaign and the Democratic National Committee (DNC) via the Perkin Coie law firm.

 

The FBI email in question evidences FBI awareness of CNN’s plans to release the story, and suggests an FBI official may have attempted to shape the coverage.

 

The email was read aloud during the House Judiciary and House Oversight Committees’ grilling of Comey ten days ago.

 

Two sentences of the same email were referenced in a May letter from Sen. Ron Johnson (R-Wisc.), chairman of the Senator’s Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee, to FBI Director Christopher Wray seeking more information from the agency. But new sections of the email were disclosed during the latest House session with Comey.

 

The January 8, 2017 email was sent from McCabe to senior FBI leadership under the subject line of “Flood is coming.”

 

Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) read from the letter and asked Comey questions about the missive. The email referenced Mike Kortan, who retired earlier this year as FBI assistant director for public affairs.

 

“According to Kortan, CNN is close to going forward with the sensitive story,” the email states, according to Jordan’s reading.

 

“CNN states that they believe the pressure has built and is unavoidable,” McCabe’s email continues, referencing CNN’s plans to release a story on the dossier claims.
