My 2018 year in review.
Late January I broke my foot and leg at work. 5 days later I found out the plant was closing at the end of August. In late March, during physical therapy, my therapist thought I might have a blood clot in my injured leg. I was sent to the hospital where they found the leg clot, and a clot in both of my lungs. After ditching the work doctor who totally missed my clot, I went for 2nd opinion. The 2nd doctor sent me for an mri and found a massive dislocation and more damage in my foot requiring surgery. In May I went to urgent care because of a lingering cold and blurry vision, so they sent me to the hospital where they found I was diabetic with blood sugar over 500. That made it impossible to do surgery on my leg. Over the summer I went on keto, got my diabetes well under control and scheduled surgery for September. Work Comp sent me to their doctor who said surgery was not going to happen. My doctor will not fight it so I will limp forever. Then 2 days ago my mom passed away from health complications due to surgery of her own.
2018 conclusion. Definitely not a glorious year. No job, still injured foot, mom unexpectedly dies.
What do I want for Xmas Q?
