I think the question is better asked..what do we believe is OUR side.

It seems from all appearances that we believe our side is the light and their side is the dark…but they believe their side is the light and our side is the dark. Both sides are being led to firmly believe they will WIN…and both sides are being given the exact same evidence to prove the other side is evil (at least as far as I can see from my digs today)….it's bizarre. Honestly I got so spooked by the sameness of the story I thought my brain would explode.

You know…I went back to your post.."what I think the swamp actually is"…and was immediately reminded of my time in a very high power position…albeit going in a bit naive..(ok a lot naive)…and had been in a court room during very very rabid hostile arguments…it was bad….the lawyers were devouring each other.

Later, after court ended and I'd finished up some other shit..I met my boss at a bar/restaurant near the courthouse…imagine my surprise when I saw the exact same people nearly killing each other in court having drinks, slapping each other on the back, planning golf outings and having a grand old time.

What did I believe about justice prior to that very moment, what do I believe about Optics and how things look versus how they actually are…now?
