Except for seeing your first post earlier this evening I've not been following this topic through the breads so I'm not sure what your story is.

My two cents on what it is: I'm an amateur astronomer and as a sub hobby of that I make optics for telescope by hand just like Newton did. What I believe you have captured is a close up image of a bright star. I assume a cell phone was used on maximum zoom and the star was either poorly focused or intentionally defocused. It could be that the star was in fact focused but that the optics or the way they were mounted was poor.

I'm very familiar with images like yours because part of making optics designed for excellent resolution of stars is testing them by defocusing a bright star to evaluate quality of figure, polish and stress. Stress can e caused by poor mounting (pinching). The color variation is due to poor atmospheric seeing due to scintillation. Anyway, that's my two cents.
