The 1000 points of light is the Christmas tree. Not the one in your house. The one in the sky.

Lucifer is a star. The Black Sun. The system of planetary bodies that orbit it are all covered in clouds of burnt rust and gas and all kinds of shit. Everything is very condensed and compact. All bunched together. It's gross looking which is why it's called the beast system. At night when it gets close enough you just sort of see a black mass with a shitload of little lights in it. 1000 points of light. Sort of resembles a Christmas tree all lit up with Christmas lights. Lucifer is the star at the top of the tree.

Now walk over to the Christmas tree in your house all covered in lights and ask yourself "why the fuck do I do this every year?"
