I sponsored a little girl (6yrs old) in 2012.
38.00 per month.
We exchanged letters often.
I began to notice that she didn't answer any of my questions.
She would send me scriptures and things she learned in school. Never info about how SHE was doing in Columbia.
Then, in 2015 I got a letter that she had moved with her grand parents and was attending another Compassion Int. School.
Would I increase my monthly amount.
For my experience, I immediately sensed that
her parents may have traveled to America
and left her behind.
When I questioned this, I didn't get any answers.
Finally (and painfully) I shut down my sponsorship in 2017.
Never got a letter after that.
Even as I write this, I truley wonder 'what' was real. God knows my Heart. That was/is enough.
