Spain’s Socialist Government Arrests 3 Daily Stormer Contributors
The National Police, in collaboration with Europol and the Swiss Federal Police, have arrested three Spanish men aged between 21 and 23 as the persons suspected of being responsible for the Spanish section of one of the most influential neo-Nazi websites in the world, which acts as an outlet for antisemitic, homophobic and racist messages.
According to police information, the investigation also made it possible for a 29-year-old Spaniard to be identified and interrogated in Switzerland. He is considered a leading neo-Nazi with dozens of followers online and is said to be the ideologue behind the Spanish section of the website previously mentioned, which managed to gain followers in Spain and Latin America.
This individual, very well known on the internet, is said to have begun his activity with a blog called ‘Alerta Judiada’ [“Dirty Trick Alert”*] from which he launched messages against the LGBT community, the feminist movement and immigrants and attacks against the Jewish people, whom he considered “responsible for all the ills society is suffering from”.
He gained 50,000 subscribers, with five channels for distributing videos, whose content was translated into more than 20 languages.
The three people arrested in Spain supported this individual in his propaganda work. In April 2017 they got together to open the Spanish section of this website, an English-language online newspaper based in the USA, very well known at the international level, and used principally for massive distribution of antisemitic content.
The visual and verbal aggressiveness of this website is such that various media have denounced its actions (an American agency described it as the “neo-Nazi portal that courts readers in Spanish”), without having been able to identify the persons responsible for it or arrest them until this operation was completed.
*In Spanish, “Judiada” encompasses a range of meanings including “Dirty Trick”, “Extortion”, “Cruel act”, “Unpleasant happening”. It obviously derives from the word for Jew: “Judío.” For this reason, in 2012, Jews waged an unsuccessful campaign to get the Royal Spanish Academy to expunge it from their standard Spanish dictionary. The Academy refused, arguing that the word had been used by distinguished Spanish authors and the Academy’s role was to document language as it was used and not make value judgements about it.
The Spanish police have actually posted video of themselves arresting these dangerous thought criminals. They wear balaclavas as if they were apprehending dangerous terrorists.
