I agree that not all Freemasons are the same. But I don't thin it's deliberately designed as you describe.
Most people are basically good. so any group that does not overtly advertise themselves as evil will attract a group a people typical of the greater population.
But the start of Morals and Dogmas makes it clear that Feemasonery is Luciferian. The widespread suspicions of bad mojo are correct.
I suspect that it serves mainly as a recruiting pool for other groups. Their whole shtick is that the lodge is a place for people to go to discuss topics, without judgement, that may not be welcome in open society (of would not have been a century ago). Such places are the best in the world to float veiled Luciferian ideas and see who responds favorably.
