My wifeanon and I were at Arlington last year, first time for me, I was overwhelmed with grief. Shortly after, we observed the Jefferson memorial and engraved inside the rotanda was his quote:
"I have sworn upon the altar of God eternal hostility against every form of tyranny over the mind of man."
When we walked up the steps to JM, and to our surprise there was an officer carrying what looked like an MP 15, fashioned with body armor, fully prepared to spring, man how things have changed.
testifies to the residual effects of where we are now, sad.
sad, years of anti-american contempt via media and education has eroded away true historic patriotism.
This is what I felt at Arlington, I broke while looking at what seemed like endless graves of the warriors that died for us, indeed vietnam took my brother he was special forces. I have never been moved like that, ever.
