Problem is, I'm interested in the bigger picture stuff. The above 40,000 ft shit. The happenings so far are extremely tedious to follow - excruciatingly boring judicial detail about politics and the corruption thereof. If things keep progressing at this pace I'll be long dead before it gets to the interesting part.
To me, seeing some arrests isn't the end goal, it's the opener. Then the real fun can commence.

You stated your friendship is deteriorating over political disagreements, with your friend being a typical brainwashee. It sounds like he basically thinks "Orange Man Bad" because the media says so, without being able to make a rational argument of his own.
Doesn't sound like much of a basis to build a worthwhile friendship on to me. But you do you.
