Danish Minister for Migration: “Somalis go home and rebuild your country”

Danish authorities have concluded that the situation in some parts of Somalia is safe, and that Somalis no longer have valid grounds for asylum.

Following a review of the situation in Somalia, which began in 2017, residence permits will therefore be withdrawn for no less than 1,000 Somalis. “It is time for them to go home now,” Denmark states.

“If you no longer need our protection and your life and your health are no longer at risk in your homeland, you must of course return home and build up your country of origin”, says Minister for Migration Inger Støjberg, according to DR.

The minister also points out that each case has been carefully examined and that they always base decisions on facts.

Withdrawing or not renewing a residence permit has become possible since Denmark 2015 changed its immigration law. The legislative amendment was actually aimed at Syrians in connection with the asylum wave of the same year, but was also applied to migrants from Somalia.

The Gateway Pundit was among the first news organizations in the country to question the handling of the shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida by Broward County Sheriff Scott Israel. Now it appears Israel’s time in that office will be drawing to a close.

From the instant it was learned that the Parkland School Resource Officer assigned to Parkland by the Broward County Sheriff’s office (Scott Peterson) stood down and refused to enter the building while shooter Nikolas Cruz was still unloading clips into his classmates, Sheriff Scott Israel has insisted that the BSO officers who arrived on the scene did not delay their entry into the building.

New forensic evidence, animations by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, and court proceedings have now proven that in addition to Peterson, six officers hid behind cars and delayed entry into the school for 11 precious minutes. The suffering from inside Marjory Stoneman Douglas could be heard as they stood by and did nothing. By the time BSO officers accompanied by the Coral Springs Police Department entered the building, Cruz had already left the premises. If the new report is correct, it means that the Broward County Sheriff’s command staff members who testified for the FDLE inquiry flat-out lied.

Governor-elect Ron DeSantis vowed to fire Sheriff Israel during the campaign when he appeared with Andrew Pollack, father of slain student Meadow Pollack. 77 Florida House Republicans co-signed a letter calling on Governor Rick Scott to fire Israel, but he instead appointed the investigative commission in order to avoid controversy going into the US Senate election.

DeSantis recently reaffirmed his plans to can Israel in an interview with the Palm Beach Post, citing it as one of his top priorities once assuming power in early January.

Former Senator and Charlie Crist Chief of Staff George LeMieux is reportedly pushing DeSantis to appoint former Republican Sheriff Al Lamberti to the post. Voters rejected Mr. Lamberti in his failed 2012 re-election bid, where they instead sided with Republican-turned-Democrat Scott Israel. After Lamberti’s departure, it was learned that he ordered the destruction of two BSO computer hardrives, which contained records regarding his relationship with ponzi-scammer and flamboyant Fort Lauderdale lawyer Scott Rothstein. Much like Hillary Clinton, Lamberti was not prosecuted. While Hillary’s aides used bleach, Lamberti ordered a BSO deputy to use a hammer to destroy the evidence.

London Begins Testing Facial Recognition In Public Despite Being “Staggeringly Inaccurate”

It appears that London is ready to roll out the gift of surveillance to its citizens this holiday season. The Met has announced that several areas around central London will be part of a field trial to be conducted today and tomorrow, despite previous reports that the tech is “staggeringly inaccurate.”

In September 2017 I reported about results from a previous test of public facial recognition that was conducted in Britain’s Notting Hill area. The results were horrendous. My emphasis added:

The controversial trial of facial recognition equipment at Notting Hill Carnival resulted in roughly 35 false matches and an ‘erroneous arrest’ …

The system only produced a single accurate match during the course of Carnival, but the individual had already been processed by the justice system between the time police compiled the suspect database and deployed it.

That test was “controversial” because it was apparently conducted without first notifying the public. Moreover, the Sky News investigation cited above revealed that the government already had built a secret database (including innocent people) that’s just been waiting for the implementation of the facial recognition systems.

Trump Shuns Non-Wall Border Security Proposals as Government Shutdown Pressure Mounts

Congress has just a few days left to send a budget bill to the White House that would prevent a partial government shutdown. President Donald Trump made it clear the bill needs to include $5 billion for building a border wall and, on Dec. 17, he doubled down, dismissing border security proposals that exclude a wall.

“Anytime you hear a Democrat saying that you can have good Border Security without a Wall, write them off as just another politician following the party line,” Trump wrote on Twitter. “Time for us to save billions of dollars a year and have, at the same time, far greater safety and control!”

The money Trump wants is a fraction of the roughly $450 billion Congress was poised to approve—before the latest battle over the wall—to fund several agencies which will otherwise run out of money on Dec. 21.
