Looking back through all the Kennedy issues is so interesting but also suspicious in so many ways. This time around let's focus on Ted Kennedy. Jimmy Carter said in an interview with 60 minutes in 2010 that "America would have comprehensive healthcare now had it not been for Ted Kennedy who deliberately blocked the legislation I proposed in 1978 or 1979"
and also added:
(Clearly angry) "Ted Kennedy killed the bill"
So now let's fast forward to 2008. Kennedy does not want to support either Obama or Clinton and preferred Dodd who dropped out so he was left with one of the two. On one end HRC and the other end Obama who ran an entire 2008 platform on what? Yep, affordable comprehensive healthcare, the very thing he (Kennedy) blocked Carter for years earlier.
Kennedy was angered by a racial comment made by Bill and decided to support Obama on January 28. Many believe this endorsement is what pushed Obama over HRC.
He died a few months later as on May 17 after having two consecutive seizures where he then was diagnosed with brain cancer (malignant glioma).
After this he had surgery in which Allan Friedman said was successful but one thing after another happened to him from his kidneys to lungs and then he had yet another seizure on Sept 26 and died.
