Had a few thoughts, felt compelled to share.

What if some of recent events, like the recent school shooting, were all planned out literally years in advance? The shooting, the 'marches' for gun control I've read are being planned, the manufactured outrage, what if all of it is just the culmination of a social engineering project, derailed at the last minute by Trump winning the election?

Rhetorical arguments on both sides of the spectrum seem artificial.Look at from say; Sandy Hook until now- after every politically charged incident involving the 2A; EVERYTHING IS THE SAME. The same arguments, ideas, memes, everything all regurgitated as something new; only to be forgotten in 2 weeks and then uncovered as if forgotten by the masses.

I don't have enough information to really pin down any sources of this but it really does appear to be some sort of massive attempt at social engineering, that they (nearly?) pulled off successfully. If Hillary had won, they'd be fantasizing about their 'new world' without violence, and likely forcing registration en-masse, in a precursor to all out ban of anything more capable than a musket. There is no area for rational debate- 2A advocates are well aware the 'end goal' has been and IS full disarmament from anti-gun groups, regardless of if it happens incrementally or all at once. Left-leaning individuals see 2A advocates as irredeemable monsters, complicit in the deaths of children (despite firearms crime decreasing YoY even in the worst places; and school shootings likely caused by terrible social policies applied to schools)

If not social engineering, could it be the media is literally manufacturing outrage by tapping human emotional triggers? Why focus on reporting the news if pulling heartstrings results in a better bottom line. What a mess.
