Is Ra El Anti-Boycott Legislation
Know Anons have discussed but has it been viewed as discrimination?
It doesn't matter if a group is hurt or disparaged in the discussion of discrimination- the definition of it is the elevation of a particular group.
Historically, we've assumed that a group is harmed as a result of the preference of another group, but that is inherently incorrect. No one need be 'harmed'; it's the elevation of a certain group that's at the root of the issue.
This bill and all other legislation like it, does just that. It outlines certain allowable actions to one group- Jews/Israel- over other groups.
If we take this new 'tact' in how we address these differences, we may have a better argument in bringing moar support for the idea.
ELEVATING ONE GROUP OVER OTHERS IS DISCRIMINATION.
