It's the "throw everything against the wall to see what sticks" approach, a version of the Muddy waters technique. What's funny is that the ones responding to each other are really obvious. Sure, they've refined their bot scripts, but not enough that real humans cannot recognize it easily. We just sit back and watch them flail around like fish out of water… and do our work in the meantime, stopping in to point and laugh at it.
