CA caught fire because of PG&E powering down their Smart Meters.

They know that powering them down can cause fires. I read a comment somewhere that a local had posted saying that they had been notified there was going to be a powerdown and residents should prepare, then it was called off, and then it happened anyways. Commenter had heard a loud bang that woke him up when the powerdown happened. I can't find it.

The Tubbs investigation is complicated, as it relies on a large amount of physical evidence, Campora said. With leads on the fire’s origins possibly pointing to more than one location, investigators examine smart meters, consult experts, and examine photographs “to figure out how the first fire got to where it was going,” Campora said.

Why PG&E didn't cut power ahead of the Camp Fire

>In a report, the utility said high winds and dry conditions ahead of the Camp Fire were “nearing but not reaching forecasted levels that would warrant temporarily turning off power for customer safety.”

Map shows where PG&E planned to cut power ahead of Camp Fire

>The map reveals, for the first time, that PG&E did initially consider de-energizing a line near the town of Concow that went out 17 minutes after the first reported fire. A second fire reportedly ignited near that line, which may have helped feed the deadly Camp Fire on its march through Magalia, Concow and Paradise, where it has killed at least 81 people and destroyed thousands of homes. Nearly 900 people are still unaccounted for.

Interdasting Smart Meter + Microwave connection.

Electrical wiring it is not sized for the amount of energy that radio frequency and

microwave radiation. These unintended signals that can come from new wireless sources of many kinds are particularly a worry for the new smart meters that produce very high intensity radio frequency energy in short bursts. Electrical fires are likely to be a

potential problem.

>Merrmack Valley gas explosions

Can't say on that. My research shows that Smartmeters are prone to overheating and catching fire due to RF/Microwave emissions or power surges.

If there was a large power surge it could have started fires right at all the houses themselves. That's why you see houses burnt out surrounded by trees.
