But the message was sent to Comey.
If Comey was the [D] as in Director, why would someone send him a message saying "Mr. Director, here are the emails the director wanted." It just doesn't make sense.

It doesn't make sense to word a message like that.
Precisely what I'm getting at. Comey never said it was him. D was somebody else.
