anons just came upon the RULING in the mysterious DC grand jury subpoena case - have not seen it posted yet - linkl below
pretty confusing to read ill try to summarize what is reveals
a federal prosecutor (doesnt reveal who) issues a subpeona for documents to a company owned by a foreign GOVERNMENT (not speficied) that company tried to quash the subpeona on various legal grounds which were plausible - but the district court ruled against them and upheld the subpoena - this appeals decision AFFIRMED the district court and the subpoena must be coimplied - plus the $5000 per week fine for contempt also approved
digworthy to find the mystery company = the only real clues are: a corporation (“the Corporation”) owned by Country A and that claimed the subpoena would require the Corporation to violate Country A’s domestic law
