If the govt quit using the FED and when back to printing gold backed US dollars issued by the Treasury, the faith the public has in Reserve Notes goes to zero overnight. They will not be accepted anywhere. The Federal Reserve will go bankrupt and there will be nobody to collect the debt payment.
