I'll tell you a little secret. I became an Rx opioid patient this past summer. Degenerative arthritis in my bones. I avoided doctors and pills my whole life (probably a mistake in hindsight). My knees, shoulders and back. The back screams at me all day. My pcp tells me I have to go to pain management. So I did. I had all the mri's done previously which showed all sorts of issues. The pain management did the back shots which lasted only a few hours. I have two choices. Very very risky back surgery which can make you worse or oxycodone. I decided with my pain doctor to go the Rx route. The kicker is the dr is affraid to prescribe more than 2 10 mg's a day or even go a higher dose. Why? Because of this panic. So I only get around 4 hours relief twice a day. I can function with them On a scale of 1-10 without the pills the pain is 9-10 with the pills it's around 2-3 (very tolerable). For proper pain relief I should be taking 4 times a day but because of the "panic" the dr won't give more than twice a day.
I'd like to know how many politicians are able to get their proper pain meds. There should be some sort of transparency with that as well. Hillary, Pelosi and RBG probably down bottles of the stuff with no repercussions.
