Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif has blasted the hawkish Israeli premier for openly boasting of the regime’s “offensive missiles,” saying such a warmonger is in no position to voice “concerns” about Tehran’s defensive missile program.

Zarif was reacting Tuesday to Benjamin Netanyahu’s comments, who said a day earlier that the regime was developing missiles capable of hitting any target in the Middle East region.

U.S. Teams Up with Orban’s Hungary to Aid Persecuted Middle East Christians

Hungary and the United States have partnered in an alliance to assist Christians in the Middle East, helping them “recover from genocide and persecution by the Islamic State”.

On Tuesday, the government of Hungary and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) “to increase coordination to help communities in the Middle East recover from genocide and persecution by the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS).”

According to a statement from the Hungarian government, the agreement between the two nations follows Hungary’s stated strategy of taking assistance “to the troubled spots where it’s needed, instead of bringing the trouble and instability to Europe.”

The MOU establishes an “official partnership” between the government of Hungary’s Secretariat for the Aid of Persecuted Christians and the US international assistance agency, the statement said.

In its own separate statement, USAID said that the agreement with Hungary is “part of USAID’s continuing effort to expand its partnerships to help endangered, displaced, and persecuted religious and ethnic minorities return home and restore their communities across the Middle East, particularly in parts of Northern Iraq liberated from the tyranny of ISIS.”

In 2016, the Hungarian government established a Deputy State Secretariat for the Aid of Persecuted Christians, making it the only nation in the world with a department of this nature.

The secretariat has sent assistance worth millions of euros to rebuild homes, churches, and schools so that Christians can stay in their homes in the Middle East, and has granted dozens of scholarships to Christian students in Africa and the Middle East who suffered persecution from militant Islamic terror groups.

Last June, Hungary’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Péter Szijjártó, told Breitbart News that Hungary is proud to focus its attention on persecuted Christians.

“We are a Christian country,” Szijjártó said, “and that’s why we have a special responsibility to protect our Christians brothers and sisters all around the world.”

“If we don’t protect them, who will protect them? If you don’t speak in favour of them, who will speak in favour of them?” he said.

Prime Minister Viktor Orbán has said that in assisting persecuted Christians Hungary has taken the opposite approach from that of the European Union.

“They want to bring people here,” Orbán declared. “We are helping them to stay where they are,” Mr Orbán said at a conference in Budapest in October 2017.

Rather than rely on official channels, the Hungarian government has been channeling funds directly to Christian leaders and organizations on the ground in the Middle East, who best know how to make the financing reach their people.

Democrats Ran Russian Bot ‘False Flag’ Operation In Alabama — And Media Fell For It

Democratic operatives created thousands of Twitter accounts posing as Russian bots in order to boost Alabama Democratic Sen. Doug Jones in the October 2017 special election by linking his Republican opponent, Roy Moore, to Russian influence campaigns.

The operatives, who were funded by liberal billionaire Reid Hoffman independently of Jones’s campaign, created more than a thousand Russian-language accounts that followed Moore’s Twitter account overnight, The New York Times reported Wednesday evening.

Hoffman gave the operatives $100,000 for their project, which included creating fake conservative Facebook accounts to dissuade voters from supporting Moore, according to the Times.

“We orchestrated an elaborate ‘false flag’ operation that planted the idea that the Moore campaign was amplified on social media by a Russian botnet,” the operatives recounted in an internal report obtained by the Times.

Media outlets — both in Alabama and nationally — fell for the ploy and amplified the false narrative in October 2017.

The Montgomery Advertiser, an Alabama affiliate of USA Today, was the first to run with the story. Brian Lyman, the reporter on that story, did not immediately return The Daily Caller News Foundation’s request for comment. National media outlets quickly seized upon Lyman’s story.

“Roy Moore flooded with fake Russian Twitter followers,” read the headline on a New York Post story, which cited the Advertiser.

Left-wing publication Mother Jones cited the same report in a story titled, “Russian Propagandists Are Pushing for Roy Moore to Win.” That report didn’t rely exclusively on the fake Twitter followers, citing Russian media’s favorable coverage of Moore.

The Washington Post focused its story on the fact that Moore blamed Democrats for the fake accounts.

Six Migrants Convicted In Sweden’s Biggest Ever Human-Trafficking Case

Six Bulgarian nationals have been convicted by Swedish courts for smuggling in migrants and forcing them to beg on the streets in what has become the country’s biggest ever human-trafficking case.

The six Bulgarian nationals were given sentences between one and a half years to five and a half years in prison for their roles in the human smuggling ring which saw at least twenty victims forced to beg on the streets of various cities across the country, among them the city of Växjö where they were charged, broadcaster Sveriges Radio reports.

In total, seven Bulgarian nationals and one Swedish national were charged in the case.

According to local newspaper Barometern, the Bulgarian nationals were all family members with the operation being headed by a man in his 60s who with his three sons and two grandsons managed to send around two million euros from Sweden to Bulgaria over a two year period.

Some of the beggars brought to Sweden are said to have been subject to violence, with a pregnant woman who was forced to beg on the street suffering a miscarriage due to the violence perpetrated against her.

The case is just the latest human-trafficking case in Western Europe, with authorities in neighbouring Finland saying that 2018 has seen a surge in incidents.

While many cases of human-trafficking involve sex trafficking, as is the case with Nigerian women in Italy, others are often brought to Europe as virtual slave labour.

A case in France made headlines earlier this year after a hair salon owner was convicted of trafficking women and forcing them to work for him for as little as one and a half euros an hour while working ten hour days, six days a week.

BRILLIANT! Ted Cruz Calls For $14 Billion Seized From El Chapo To Fund Border Wall

Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, has a brilliant idea on how to fully pay for the border wall between the U.S. and Mexico.

According to Breitbart, Cruz introduced the Ensuring Lawful Collection of Hidden Assets to Provide Order (EL CHAPO) Act on Tuesday, which calls for the use of $14 billion seized from cartel drug lord Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzman to be used to pay for the wall.

“Fourteen billion dollars will go a long way toward building a wall that will keep Americans safe and hinder the illegal flow of drugs, weapons, and individuals across our southern border,” Cruz stated.

“Ensuring the safety and security of Texans is one of my top priorities,” he added.

Cruz said using criminally forfeited assets from El Chapo and other Mexican cartel members and drug dealers can “offset the wall’s cost and make meaningful progress toward achieving President Trump’s stated border security objectives.”

“The U.S. Government is currently seeking the criminal forfeiture of more than $14 billion in drug proceeds and illicit profits from El Chapo, the former leader of the Sinaloa drug cartel who was recently extradited to the U.S. to face criminal prosecution for numerous alleged drug-related crimes, including conspiracy to commit murder and money laundering,” Cruz added.

The EL CHAPO Act is the second piece of legislation that Cruz has introduced this month to allocate billions in funding for the border wall.

Earlier this month, he introduced the WALL Act, which would give $25 billion toward the border wall.

“The WALL Act would fully fund the border wall by closing existing loopholes that provide illegal immigrants with federal benefits and tax credits, without affecting the benefits and tax credits used by Americans,” Cruz said in a statement earlier this month.

“If you want to receive food stamps and other benefits, then you should prove your citizenship. If you cross the border illegally or overstay your visit to this country, then you should pay a stiff penalty,” Sen. John Kennedy, R-Louisiana, added.

Cruz and Kennedy argued that cracking down on government benefits for illegal aliens, requiring parents to have a Social Security number to claim refundable tax credits, requiring all welfare applicants to prove they are a legal U.S. citizen, and increasing minimum fines on individuals who cross the border illegally or overstay visas would create tens of billions of dollars in revenue.
