54 Palestinian kids killed, 900 others arrested by Israeli forces since Jan.: Report

A report by a Palestinian human rights center reveals that Israeli forces have killed at least 54 Palestinian children and arrested over 900 others since the beginning of 2018.

The human rights center reported that 80 percent of the children were killed during demonstrations in the so-called buffer zone in the Gaza strip.

The report also condemned what it described as Israel’s systematic violation of Palestinian children’s rights.

According to the group’s investigation, conducted by the Palestinian Center for Study and Documentation, Israel's rights violation is not limited to trial of children in military courts, but it starts from the moment of arrest.

The report said Israelis carry out interrogation sessions in which children are often handcuffed, blindfolded, beaten and insulted.

The latest child victim, from Khan Yunis in southern Gaza, was only four years old.

Since the beginning of 2018, more than 310 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli forces, almost all unarmed civilians, the report added.

The report almost confirms an earlier toll announced by renowned children rights NGO Defense for Children International – Palestine, which said last month the Israeli military troopers had shot and killed more than 50 Palestinian children in the occupied West Bank and the besieged Gaza Strip so far this year.

In late October, the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) said the occupying Israeli army “has been deliberately targeting and killing Palestinian children.”

"This is a clear war crime in violation of international law and international humanitarian law,” Hanan Ashrawi, a member of the PLO's executive committee, said on Oct. 29.

“Israel's continuous campaign of excessive and indiscriminate violence against the people of Gaza has persisted with impunity and has been emboldened by the US administration's strategic alliance with Israel,” she added.

It’s good to have friends in high places: SF mayor asks Gov. Brown to release her brother from prison

From SF Gate: San Francisco Mayor London Breed has asked Gov. Jerry Brown to release her brother from prison, where he has served nearly two decades of a 44-year sentence for a manslaughter conviction in the death of a San Francisco woman, according to the mayor’s office.

Breed’s brother, Napoleon Brown, now 46, pushed 25-year-old Lenties White from a getaway car on the Golden Gate Bridge after an armed robbery in June 2000. She was struck by an oncoming drunken driver and died.

Breed sent a letter to Gov. Brown on Oct. 23 asking him to “consider leniency” and commute her brother’s prison sentence. The letter appears to have been sent on personal stationery, but the heading and the body of the letter reference her position as the city’s mayor.

The mayor’s letter was sent with similar messages of support from other family members, including Napoleon Brown’s mother, sister and cousin, as part of his application to have his sentence commuted, according to documents reviewed by The Chronicle.

The mayor’s letter to the governor was first reported Tuesday night by NBC Bay Area.

Napoleon Brown has served less than half of his 44-year-sentence for White’s death and the robbery of a Johnny Rockets restaurant on Chestnut Street in San Francisco.

Breed’s status as mayor could raise questions about whether the letter constitutes an improper attempt to use her status to influence the governor’s decision.

“I am very sorry for all the people I hurt with my crimes 18 years ago,” Napoleon Brown wrote in his letter to the governor, in which he details his efforts toward self-improvement while in prison. Though he blames his “crimes and bad behaviors” on addiction, he wrote, “I still take full and complete responsibility for all my actions.” And he asks for the opportunity to re-establish a relationship with his children.

In her letter to the governor, Breed said that “Napoleon struggled early on with a sense of hopelessness. And like many others, he developed a bad drug problem at an early age. His drug addiction led to a young life of crime.”

This bill amends the Civil Rights Act of 1964 to include sex, sexual orientation, and gender identity among the prohibited categories of discrimination or segregation in places of public accommodation.

The bill defines:

“sex” to include a sex stereotype, sexual orientation or gender identity, and pregnancy, childbirth, or a related medical condition;

“sexual orientation” as homosexuality, heterosexuality, or bisexuality; and

“gender identity” as gender-related identity, appearance, mannerisms, or characteristics, regardless of the individual’s designated sex at birth.

This bill is broadly understood as normalizing pedophilia because it very quietly makes “sexual orientation” open ended. This includes pedophiles.

Soros Spent $1.35 Million Funding Organization That is Flooding President Donald Trump With Lawsuits

A “nonpartisan” organization in DC that has been inundating President Donald Trump with lawsuits received $1.35 million dollars from liberal billionaire George Soros.

According to a new report from the Free Beacon, Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (CREW), the “nonpartisan” organization, also shares employees with Media Matters for America, an organization that was founded by Democratic operative and Clinton loyalist David Brock.

“Soros’s donations to CREW came from two entities in his Open Society Foundations network including $1,250,000 from the Foundation to Promote Open Society and $100,000 from the Open Society Policy Center, according to a review of his groups’ most recent tax forms covering the 2017 fiscal year that were provided by Soros’s spokesperson,” the Free Beacon reports.

CREW has been involved with multiple lawsuits and legal complaints against the president and multiple other Republicans. While people from the organization regularly appear on cable news, the Free Beacon notes that their liberal mission is rarely explained.

“CREW’s most recent tax forms, which were provided by the organization, show that the group more than quadrupled its contributions from $1,853,672 in 2016 to $7,773,524 in 2017,” the report continues.

Additionally, the outlet obtained an internal memo that explained how CREW would focus on hitting Trump with “‘a steady flow of damaging information, new revelations, and an inability to avoid conflicts issues,’ forcing the Trump administration to defend ‘illegal conduct in court,’ reducing the influence of powerful industries and interest groups, and making dark money a political liability in key states.”

The memo also bragged about CREW being able to place stories in the Washington Post, New York Times, Wall Street Journal by partnering with “top reporters.”

Brock was personally on the board of CREW until 2016, but stepped down so that the organization would appear to be less partisan.
