It doesn't really matter, imo, what Q does now; doesn't even matter if Q is a LARP. What Q has succeeded in doing is getting a meaningful sector of a largely complacent population to re-engage with their governors and do the job they should always do - hold them accountable.
I agree; so called "mockumentaries" have done untold harm as they are accepted by a significant number of poorly educated people as fact, even when correctly described.
Images (esp film) are the new opioid of the masses.
They are like pre-masticated books that stunt reading ability and independent thought and imagination, which the mentally lazy mistake for education; just as the idle, obese mistake fast-food for nutrition, while other mentally stunted blobs mistake pop for music, conceptualism for worthy art, stream of consciousness for poetry, lust for love, etc etc.

If truth were in the "eye of the beholder" as you claim, then anything and everything anyone "beholds" is true, which is semantically nonsensical.
