The OP of the gif (where the overlay was done) was a self admitted newfag to photoshop and couldn't line up the image 100%.
The reason it's distorted is because Q photographed a reflection of the source image (think mirror). If you dig back you will see how it all went down in real time and the majority of anons online atm realised how it was done, then Q posted the fag walking in china as a laser pointer.
Think about how hard it would be to line up the image that closely (reflecting off of the back of a phone). Was Q attempting to copy an existing photo? Occoms razor faggot.
