On January 31st, near Crozet, VA, a garbage truck crashed into an Amtrack train. The train crew and passengers, who included many Republican congressmen on the way to a retreat, suffered minor injuries. The garbage truck had three occupants. Christopher Foley, 28, on the far passenger side of the truck, was the only fatality. The middle seat occupant (unidentified) of the garbage truck was critically injured. The driver of the truck (also unidentified) was hospitalized with non-serious injuries. One report indicated that the FBI visited the driver in the hospital, and did a blood test. A few days later, the FISA memo was dropped, and the news cycle changed.
What happened to the truck driver? Was he ever identified? Arrested? Did he ever explain why he hit the train? What were the results of his blood tests?
