Storms like El Nino, waves like El Nino – but nothing official yet
It’s not easy to explain how something that appears to be staring you in the face isn’t really there — or if it even matters. Whether it’s El Nino or other seasonal and climate signals that are responsible, we’ve seen some pretty good surf domestically over the last month and a half. A pattern that’s very similar to what we often see during weak to moderate El Nino events. But according to those who spend a lot more energy studying the matter than us, we still aren’t officially in an El Nino.
