On Tuesday Deputy Premier and Interior Minister Matteo Salvini was in Lima (Parma) to deliver 12 flats confiscated at ‘Ndrangheta and assigned as housing to the finance guard.
Speaking in Sorbolo at a ceremony for the handover, Salvini said that Italy’s various Mafia syndicates are soon over. “We are the ones who are stronger”.
There is no doubt, in Italy he is a ‘rock star’. Every month polls show his approval and popularity in Italy increasing. League, the party he leads, is stronger than ever, and Matteo having been voted as the most trusted and popular politician in Italy ever.
The properties were seized from the Calabrian-based ’Ndrangheta mafia. The populist coalition government has promised to return law and order to Italy and they have become more and more popular as the people of Italy see that they have been keeping those promises.
Matteo went on to say, “They can hang on for a few months or a few years, but the Mafia, the Camorra and the ‘Ndrangheta will be wiped off the face of this splendid country. We’ll give our all”.
