Look at the quoted tweets… The "undeniable proof" we were all salivating over like Pavlovian dogs is itself fake. The second article doesn't exist and never existed.

This kind of shit is infuriating. The fake news can be taken down six ways from Sunday, but instead of doing that, we're throwing stuff out there that's falsifiable, destroying credibility.

Except it's not a matter of changing the headlines. The fake news second headline that Q posted would have required that Max Boot write something 100% diametrically opposite from what he's been advocating for years now – that in itself would have been news. It never happened.

Seriously… these people are evil, dishonest fucks, but they are (maybe) on the ropes now. Why the fuck should we be undercutting ourselves with this kind of easily falsifiable bullshit?

I'm not questioning Q's credibility – his (and ours) is already shot to hell by shit like this.

It's an unforced error that makes no fucking sense at all. There are a hundred things we can throw out to shine a light on their perfidy – but instead we elevate fake garbage that destroys our own credibility?

For Q to do this is either seriously careless or actively malicious. I'll give him the benefit of the doubt that it was the former rather than the latter. But it raises questions about a whole host of things not directly connected with this.

Which of course is 100% consistent with the neocon garbage that Max Boot has been spewing all along. We can criticize him for being wrong on this, but he's not cravenly changing his line just to attack Trump.

There are literally hundreds of better targets for "fake news," the criticism of which would not require generating more fake news. WTF, Q.
