>Because there is , literally, NO widely-available source for real NEWS reporting. ZERO, NONE, Zilch.
It's not about news sources, per se, it's about truth and people's understanding of what is truth. Up unitl recently (the past 50 years) most people have considered truth to be the accurate recounting of facts - i.e. what is and what happens. THen we started on this "relative truth" nonsense, where everyone has a different opinion that is classified as "my truth" "his truth" your truth" their truth" as though truth statements could be simultaneously contradictory and still be truth.
Truth is objective; it is the accurate communication of facts. It has nothing to do with subjective opinion. Until people get out of that mindset, news reporting will necessarily continue to be considered fake by those who hold a different opinion. Either we subscribe to truth being an objective communication of facts or we learn to live with the toxic concept of "relative truth" (which is actually an oxymoron) that requires acceptance that every newsworthy communication is fake/lies.
