That doesn't = RBG having the same outcomes.

So, what I'm saying is every individual body is different and comparing surgeries to each other isn't particularly useful, in terms of recovery.

You mentioned your mother struggling to do the household work/tiring easily. My dad was back to work within a month and started running/lifting again not that long after. (Granted, it was shorter distances.) And, again, he did NOT live very long after the lobectomy, which was the last resort option to extend his life and was followed up by radiation, more, chemo, etc.

TL;DR: Everyone is different and responds to various tx differently.

I think he WAS afraid. International adoption is a cluster fuck and LITERALLY all it takes to jeopardize a family is one piece of paper (doesn't matter what piece of paper) not being on file. Most families, once the adoption and naturalization are complete, don't need to worry about things like that.

A Supreme Court Justice (or potential SCJ) may not have that luxury.
