These date ranges don't actually take cultural evolution into account.

 

Someone born in 1986 had a very, very, very different childhood than someone born in 1996.

 

These terms are all just horseshit for dumb people

Agree on your last point, but the terms and date ranges we have are still really inadequate, arbitrary and I only generally see really simple people using the terms and standing by their stereotypical associations.

 

So….I still think we could do much better sociologically
