The association also named the hospitalโs chief tour guide Frank Harmon as its Volunteer of the Year. Noble Harmon, a Shriner who has served as a tour guide for seven years, was chosen based on his commitment to hospitals and health care through participation in hospital auxiliary organizations or by directly volunteering within a hospital. Candidates were also judged on their participation in activities that benefit the hospital and its patients, serving as a role model of hospital volunteerism, and active leadership in a state auxiliary or other volunteer organizations.
Mr. HarmonA cancer survivor, Noble Harmon has often said the care and compassion shown to him during his cancer treatments inspired him to share that same kind of generosity and kindness with patients and staff at the Tampa Shriners Hospital.
