I am wondering the loyalty factor Mattis had behind him in regards to the troops…..I am reminded of the movie "Gladiator" although Mattis didn't fight right at the front line with them all like Maximus did, perhaps the loyalty still stands with Mattis behind the scenes. Just some thoughts.
