Earlier this year (Jan-Mar timeframe), there was a huge discussion having to do with the traditional ratio of actual indictments to other warrants and court actions. The ratio was around 5:1 or 6:1, I believe. We should be at about 70K indictments so far, so reducing that down by these ratios ends up being around 10-15K indictments.
Keep in mind that one indictment can charge any number of people. I've been watching the indictments fly by, sometimes with 20-30 people charged in a single indictment.
