Infineon is what used to be BP Research at Abingdon, England. They do mainly chemical research into additives for the oil industry, much like Lubrizol. I worked in the lubricants industry for 25 years and I know that this is correct. A former Shell Technical Director went to there.
Hang on, I might have that crossed with Infineum. A lot of these corporate names are similar these days. Why they go for anonymised bland names escapes me.
Infineon was Siemens Memory Systems, Germany. Infineum was BP Research, Abingdon.
