Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg is working from the hospital as she recovers from surgery she underwent last week.

A spokeswoman for the higher court, Kathy Arberg, told The Associated Press that Ginsburg remained at the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York on Sunday.

The AP added that she is up and working as she recovers. No details were provided on when she might return home.

The news regarding Ginsburg's condition comes days after she had surgery to remove two malignant nodules on a lung.

Her surgery occurred after the oldest justice fractured three ribs in a fall in her office. The nodules were discovered during tests to treat her broken ribs.

Doctors have said there is no evidence that the disease is still there, AP noted.

Ginsburg, 85, has been treated for cancer two previous times.

She gained attention over the weekend after it was learned that she cast a vote against President Trump's proposed asylum restrictions during her stay at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.

On Friday, the Supreme Court ruled against the Trump administration’s request to restore newly implemented restrictions that would block some migrants who crossed the southern border illegally from applying for asylum.

The Supreme Court is set to meet for its first conference of 2019 on Jan. 4.
