by no mans is this sell-off over. The overall % drop is not too bad. It's the leverage and margin the system use's to capture performance.

When it stops going 'up' that is where the problems occur.

You've heard the term 'Margin Call'?

Pics is how it works.

When this happens it forces the holder's to come up with additional cash to satisfy the drop in the assets it has 'margined'.

No cash to satisfy? Your position gets sold and you eat the difference .

marketanon has never played with marginโ€ฆ.EVER

The owners. BTW these are pretty imperfect as the FRB's own site says the following:

Some observers mistakenly consider the Federal Reserve to be a private entity because the Reserve Banks are organized similarly to private corporations.

https://www.federalreserve.gov/faqs/about_14986.htm

Sorry they are organized this way because they, in fact, ARE PRIVATE CORPORATIONS.

Mitt Romney knows all too well.

Most of what is available online is highly in-accurate.

It boils down to the FED who issue's stock-that is not liquid by any means-to the 12 FRB regional offices.

The short answer is that the big 6 banks own it through a long series of complicated filings that try to show it is independent of the very same banking system it is tasked to enforce.

They own it and thus the concept of moral hazard has been it's 'mission' for as long as it's been around.

Needs to go NOW!
