Delta flight from Beijing to Seattle diverted to Aleutian island

 

A Delta plane flying from Beijing to Seattle Monday was diverted to Shemya, Alaska.

According to a statement from Delta Air Lines, flight 128 had a potential engine issue.

The diverted plane is a 767-300ER with 194 customers. The airline sent another aircraft to pick up the passengers in Shemya and take them the rest of the way to Seattle. The new flight is expected to arrive in Seattle at 9:15 p.m. Pacific time, according to Delta.

Delta is sending maintenance technicians, customer service agents and a new crew to operate the flight to Seattle. The airline apologized for the delay, noting safety is always its top priority.

Shemya is a small island on the western end of the Aleutian chain.

 

Eareckson Air Station is located on the island.

A commercial passenger flight by Delta Airlines has landed on a remote Alaskan island due to an engine issue, Alaska Public Media reported, citing a statement by the airline. The carrier has sent another aircraft to pick up the 194 passengers.

 

The diverted plane, flight DL 128, is a 767-300ER. The plane on the way to pick up the passengers is flight DL 9950, and is scheduled to land at about 1:15 p.m. Seattle time, according to data from flightaware.com, a flight-tracking website.

Over One Million US Gun Owners Refuse To Obey Ban

 

Residents of New Jersey were given a deadline to turn in their gun magazines or become felons overnight, and so far, no one is complying.

This month, citizens were given a December 11 deadline on their new ban on standard capacity magazines. The law effectively turned one million law abiding gun owners into criminals, literally over night if they failed to turn in the magazines.

This act of disobedience is the only way that law-abiding citizens can effectively and peacefully fight back against the gun grabbers. And so far, it has been effective.

Board member David Campbell told Fox News that the county “decided it’s time for someone to take a hard stand.” Indeed, as we’ve noted time and again, rights are preserved and gained when good people make a stand and refuse to obey bad laws.
