There was a paper written by a social worker who dealt with teens convicted of serious offenses. I read it maybe 10 years ago and don't have find the sauce. She found strong correlation between these serious behavior and cognitive disorders, and nutritional deficiencies. Lack of necessary vitamins. Excess of heavy metals. Things that kids growing up impoverished often experience.

Doesn't excuse criminal behavior but offers an insight into preventing a future generation of sociopaths & criminals through adequate nutrition.

Does not refute anything you posted about DSM IV, all true, but just adds a bit of breadth to the topic.
