That’s tragic, anon. I’m blessed to have a wife who is as stubborn as she is God-loving. I’m certain that even if her life is at risk, it would take a lot of prayer and pleading from me to convince her to accept intervention during the birth.

It’s good to know there are also tangible, practical reasons to avoid some of these things though too to ease my own mind when I see her in the pain of labor.

>it’s all about the birth certificate

Please go on, anon. I want to be as prepared as possible to set up my child for good mental, spiritual, physical health without screwing them legally.

Appreciated! I’d guess the same is true with breast feeding. My wife is very skeptical of the trend to replace stuff like this when not absolutely necessary. It’s good to have more information to support it beyond “it’s natural.”

Is it safe to say that there should be no vaccinations whatsoever on the day of the birth at the very least? I want to research the make up of each vaccine, their history, and which seem to correlate most strongly with permanent defect or worse. I could be underinformed, but I am thinking there are some that are genuinely beneficial. I just feel nasty about the idea of a newborn getting a shot in their first hours of life. Even the first couple months just feels wrong and dangerous intuitively.
