I think civil asset forfeiture will play a key role in most of what is to come. Since most of the asset wealth is held by people who need to die or trusts/companies/funds set up for nefarious purposes - they can be ordered to effectively yield their assets and "take one for the team."
In short, they can be forced to hold the bag of market revaluations because they are evil sacks of shit to begin with.
The market bubbles will burst during such a revaluation and drop asset/commodity prices across the board, so for the working public and retirees, the net exchange can be forced into favorable territory while the people executed for treason and the various CIA slush funds are dissolved and hold massive portions of bad debt.
Everything changes, while… Also not really changing, either. In theory.

To some degree, yes - but the problem is how to actually mediate the transfer and revaluation. We can just say "the dollar is now worthless and we will be using gold backed currency, now" - and the global economy would fucking explode in response.
There has to be an avenue for distribution of gold backed currency and a sink to throw the junk bonds into. You can't just completely erase the current liquidity standard and offer up a completely different one. We are only three meals from food riots.

Ours is likely less about gold than it is about uranium and rare earth's. Almost identical composition to that mine in Australia, but spans about 10% of the state.

Unfortunately, I lack the capital assets to do much more than cheer on efforts to exploit this. We have a Nucor steel (secondary remelt) mill coming into the state, so it looks like someone is staging resources…
Another thing… Pro Energy has a fairly large complex out here… And it's almost a zombie business… Mostly seems to operate as a staffing service for companies in the area, right now… A temp agency of all things.
But… It could also be a pre-positioned resource, in a way. The operation makes almost no sense without taking into account more recent moves in the area. The county assessor also got rather alarmed when I mentioned "other things coming" into the area. All land purchase contracts must go through his office and he has been in some … Closed door deals that they've signed NDAs with. Pretty sure he wanted to make sure there hadn't been a leak.
We are farther west of this deposit, but actions around the state suggest careful positioning for an industrialization wave.
