theater anon here, what you think of acting is fundamentally wrong.
Firstly you can only "act out" what you know, therefore you can´t change into something you arent.
But everyone has the bad and the good, Actors only know how to pull that darker emotions when needed.
they have to have a reference, so for example if you wanna "play" a rapist, you can draw experience from "raping with words", the closer your own experience, the better the "act".
creepy Stuff indeed, but acting isnt creating something that wasn´t there before.
