I fail to see any problem with this as long as it is recognized that this is what the winning side in a culture war does. Shit like this went on throughout europe. We planted crosses on mountain tops and baptised Viking Kings and shit. Religion when successful ALWAYS winds up in bed with the political class to some extent. Communism is not just a bad economic theory. It disallows religion because it hates and fears the feedback loop around value sets created by the priestly class.
