Loved House of Cards a year ago. Had put away TV and now can’t help but ruin movies for my family every time they put one on.

Okay -Keven Spacey’s character in House of Cards constantly is ‘breaking the fourth wall’. He doesn’t break character but gives the viewer inside information- truth.

In a reverse situation, in a recent movie I tried to watch with some family (before I ruined it ranting) I noticed Wolf Blitzer was playing himself as a ‘real’ journalist in an action movie. Also in House of cards and other shows I’ve noticed ‘real life’ news people play themselves in pretend shows. I believe most shows are the cabal telling us the truth through entertainment.

With ‘journalists’ It’s the opposite of breaking the fourth wall- is there a name for that other than fake news? They are ALL actors.

Keven Spacey’s video has fascinated me. There’s going to be great episodes in January when he gets back into the spotlight. Thanks for listening to my media rant. My family is grateful I have this outlet.

Merry Christmas

You are though. So it’s been a thing for longer than I suspected. Although I guess TV has always been about mass distraction. Like when an actor puts on a white lab coat in a commercial and gains trust for the product. All about the sale. Just random thoughts tonight. Thanks.
