I agree with most of that, but I argue that gold's intrinsic value is based on nothing other than it's availability and what the consumer is willing to pay for it. This makes the gold standard a WORSE basis for national economic stability than basing one off of GDP.

But I think we ALL agree that a private bank is the WORST thing for national economic stability.

Too many sluts out there anon and too many cameras. It'd take around 10,000 tiddy's to buy a soda.

Think about the teenagers on dates? They have less access to bewbs and soon no one could afford to take anyone out, no moar teenage pregnancies, population retraction.

Pretty soon it'd be ten chicks and twenty bewbs and they'd have all the cool things.

Supply and demand anon.

Sure, totally agree. Gold is valuable because people are willing to trade things for it. But the same could be said for gasoline, clothing, sex, haircuts, self tanner lotion, porn… The only thing valuable about gold is the fact other people WANT it… nobody NEEDS it. In a barter economy, it will be as worthless as dirt, unless someone is willing to trade you something you need for your gold they want.

Ah.. bitcoin. A currency that only works with not only electricity but an internet connection.

If shit hits the fan, we're going to have to siphon gas out of the holding tanks at the gas station because the electric pumps won't even work, not to mention your credit card to activate the pump.

Bitcoin is 100% intangible. It is not real currency without the grid.

Make no mistake, gold is only valuable because the chick you want… want's moar gold. You can't do anything with it except trade it for the shit you really want/need. Once nobody wants/needs gold, it's just a shiny rock that is very hard to obtain.

Only if someone is willing to trade their goods for your gold. Just a shiny rock after all. Given the right circumstances, a bottle of water and a tomato will be worth a ton of gold, so as long as both agree to the exchange.

>Throughout history, gold tends to be preferred for this task

I argue that those who can provide basic essentials due to possession of a surplus of goods are willing to accept gold as form of payment.

Unless you have a surplus of something, you will get no gold in barter. Once resources become scarce, your gold will be worth whatever those who posses the surplus say your gold is worth.

>You give me gold for my milk and I buy what I need

But that scenario only works when we know what the conversion rate is between gold, chickens, goats, wheat, milk.. etc. Unless we all agree, your ingot of gold is worth whatever the buyer says it's worth.

I argue that buying gold is an even bigger waste of money. It's highly doubtful that gold will ever be worthless, but will it be as much as you paid for it, or as much as "they told you it's worth" when it's time to spend it? REALLY time to spend it?

I suspect the same oz of gold that's worth $1200 today, will be just enough to buy a months worth of grain when the time comes.

Since Montosanto is modifying foods to only produce seeds that last one season, SEEDS will be the real currency.

>If someone has tomatoes about to go bad in a few days, they would gladly take gold for them today.

Not necessarily anon. The Great Depression taught us one thing, you can't eat gold, and every nigga's gotta eat.

If we ever hit those dire times again, you'll see the value of gold DROP drastically. Food and water will become the primary currency and luxury items value will decline.

So… the GMO part of modified foods, is genetically changing them to produce no seeds. The gov't isn't buying gold, they're controlling the crop production, because the gov't knows that seeds 'might' become currency someday.

They're pretty smart those mudafukas.

Gold, in it's pure form is too weak to make a spear, you can't hunt with it, nor use it as a tool.

It's only value, is the fact your neighbor wants it too and might be willing to pay more for it than you did. That is all. Nothing moar.

Gold is only valuable because someone else 'might' want it moar than you because it is a shiny rock and hard to find.

Imagine how much you'd spend for an orange if nobody was around to bring them to you from Florida or California?

Maybe not you, but someone. Plus it can save your life from scurvy. I argue, an orange is moar 'valuable' than an ounce of gold, given the right circumstances.

So tired of seeing the 666 confused with anything other than Emperor Nero. Read your Bible again, "the number of the beast is the number of a man, and his number is 666."

Then, gargle "Hebrew gematria" in your free time. Hebrew letters are also numbers. Then ask any Jew who can read Hebrew, if 666 spells "Nero" or not.

It's not a conspiracy, the Jews in 60 AD (under Nero) hated the faggot and hit his name in their text… under the guise of a number, that number was 666. Jews knew it, Romans couldn't read it.

Yet here we are, a bunch of Christians who can only read ONE FUCKING BOOK.
