Yes. Anyone who buys physical as an investment misses the whole point of buying it in the first place.

The banks are no good, the dollar has no value - you buy physical to preserve the value you would have if not for the fiat money we are forced to use.

What are you talking about? We have been mining gold for over 5000 yrs and we still do to this day.

You are mistaking the quantity of money for its 'purchasing power'.

An ounce of gold is an ounce of gold, so how come its takes $1200 or whatever the price is today to buy it when in 1971 the price was $35 an ounce? Did the 'purchasing power' of each dollar diminish or was it something else?
