Can't say I'm confident it's the same kid just yet. Tend to be very conservative/cautious about linking real people together (or to themselves).

And that's probably going to be my afternoon rabbit-hole - will likely report back later.

:)

Kek.

Keep on keeping on, "anon".

Do soldiers sign that blank check with the belief that they'll be coddled?

(Yes, ok. Some do and they're the losers who "patriotically" FB-post non stop on Veterans Day, etc.)

And then there are the war fighters. Different breed.

Yes, there are varied degrees of "goodness", I agree. And yes, there are some that will act on their rage and contempt.

Regarding opportunism: Access to resources is the motivating factor for most international acts of aggression - right? I do wonder if enhancing autonomy (and reducing colonialism) would lead to less opportunistic violence, aggression, etc.

OF COURSE "sometimes ppl are just pigs because they can get away with it". I agree.

And yes, nations should look out for themselves.

And yes, we should "get out of the colonialism game".

The only thing I disagree with is "They only act bad because we don't let them have enough resources." That isn't what I said or meant to imply. I was trying to suggest that nations should be able to act autonomously, without overwhelming outside influence. My hypothesis is that if this is allowed to happen, we may see a more peaceful planet. Sorry if that wasn't very clear.
