in the 90s had a whole substation blow out and take out the whole part of the town we lived in blew all the electronics out in the area that were connected to the grid. Guess what no bright lights in the sky.
Yeah i wouldn't want to either, luckily i wasn't really near the substation when it blew. But the whole area of town served by it was fried. If it was connected to the grid it was smelling like burnt electronics and burnt wiring. I opened up a few devices after and all the electronics were just a black smears on the pcb's. Had never seen anything like it before. I've seen a few line power transformers blow, the oils in there will melt the paint off a car pretty quick. Especially the really old ones.

Never let the truth get in the way of a sensational lie especially if it will bring in Ad revenue. #MSMSCUM
Thanks for clearing that thought the number was funky but hadn't had a chance to check yet.
