Would whoever did this act be stupid enough to leave the lights on the drones for the world to see and film if this is the case. Not saying you are wrong, because at this point nothing seems implausible, but damn. These people are stupid?

Just trying to think a bit logical here, what reports of power outages have we heard? Did this transformer service Laguardia airport only? It would seem that something that would cause this much light etc. would have such a load on it that it would kill the lights to a really large area if it went out. I'm not versed in transformer explosions like you all, but I would think we would see more power outages because of it.

So that is definitely NOT a DEW as you can see from the video that the origin of the beam moves as the camera moves. It's just glare. Not saying something didn't happen before the vid but….

I am as well. When you watch the video the origin of the "beam" moves when the camera does meaning the cause of the line is not from some far away source. It is flare from the cmos image sensors.
